Recently, Investigative Sergeant Derek Trivett of the Conover Police Department contacted STAND T.A.L.L. asking for specialized Breach Tools to use when a forced entry into a suspected drug house The Conover PD didn’t have the funds to purchase the Breach Kit which consists of a heavy (23lb) door ram, a Halligan (a specialized crowbar and prying tool), and a large, heavy duty bolt cutter designed to be carried in a custom backpack.

Ron Kauffman, president of STAND T.A.L.L. approached the Board of Directors and got approval to fund and purchase the Breach Kit which costs more than $1200.00, and both he and Board member Tim Grutzius made the trip to Catawba County to deliver the Breach Kit.
Conover Police Chief Robert Houston said, “Without organizations such as STAND T.A.L.L. could and would be much harder. We commend you for your mission to help Police and Sheriff’s Departments in our ongoing mission to combat crime and build a better and safer future for generations to come.”
